BFMV Welcomes New Team Member, Ed Usalis, AM, CVA

BuckheadFMV (“BFMV”) is pleased to announce that Ed Usalis, AM, CVA has joined BFMVs business valuation practice. This practice provides healthcare organizations with valuations for various reasons, including buy-ins and buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and compliance requirements, financial reporting, joint ventures, shareholder transactions, and divestitures.



Ed’s career includes over 25 years of experience providing business valuation, litigation support consulting, and financial advisory services.  He has prepared business valuations for federal gift and estate tax returns, estate planning, employee stock ownership plans, financial reporting, and mergers and acquisitions.  In addition, he has also provided expert witness services in connection with intangible asset litigation and quantified economic damages in connection with various business disputes.  His industry experience covers a variety of industries with a focus on regulated entities.


Before joining BuckheadFMV, Mr. Usalis held various leadership positions with national and regional accounting and valuation firms. “With his decades-long expertise valuing companies and assets in highly regulated industries, Ed will be taking the lead in BFMV’s business valuation service line and expanding our capabilities in that area,” said Darcy Devine, BFMV’s president.


Ed has a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University and a Master of Arts and Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University. He holds the Certified Valuation Analyst designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He is an Accredited Member of the American Society of Appraisers and a Business Certified Appraiser of the International Society of Business Appraisers. He frequently speaks and writes on issues pertaining to valuation.  Ed has also testified in several legal matters.
