Relevant for determining fair market value hourly rates for physician services, it offers specialty-specific benchmark rates for on-site services and after-hours call coverage. The 2026 data reflect a sustained rising trend in call rates since BFMV began publishing this report in 2017.

Benchmarks include average, median, 25th, 75th, and 90th percentile hourly rates charged by commercial staffing companies for on-site physician staffing services and after-hours physician call coverage. Approximately 87 specialties and allied health fields are represented.
