BFMV Is A Certified WOSB - Women Owned Small Business

BFMV is proud to announce our official certification as a WOSB (Women Owned Small Business) following our recent certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Both certifications were processed through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s premier third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the US.

The Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) program began in December of 2000. Established by Public Law 106-554, this program was enacted to help the federal government meet its goal of awarding at least 5% of all contracting dollars to women-owned small businesses. To qualify as a WOSB, an enterprise must be at least 51% directly owned and controlled by one or more women and be considered “small” as defined by the relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code.
