Fair Market Value Opinions
Our valuation experts provide fair market value (FMV) and commercial reasonableness opinions for a wide range of financial arrangements entered into by physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare entities. Most often, our reviews are used to help ensure that compensation arrangements comply with the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and other regulations governing transactions in the healthcare industry.

Fair market value must be determined on a case by case basis by looking at the facts and circumstances of a proposed deal as well as the relevant market for the services or products being provided. Whether we are issuing an opinion related to the employment terms being offered to a single physician or reviewing a hospital service line management arrangement, we provide our client with a comprehensive review that incorporates the most current market data available and is supported by our specialized knowledge and extensive expertise in the industry.

Our professionals are certified by recognized business valuation associations, including the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Asset Appraisals
BuckheadFMV appraises healthcare assets of all kinds, including both tangible and intangible assets. We appraise furniture, medical equipment, office equipment, medical records, and other selected assets in healthcare facilities.

Our reports are specifically tailored to healthcare transactions and include documentation of compliance with the Stark Law and other healthcare regulations. We also provide line-by-line detail of appraised assets with descriptions, quantities, conditions, and appraised values (also available to the client in an Excel spreadsheet).
Our commitment to client service includes weekly progress reports for multiple engagements, a data portal for better data management and accessibility, inventory tagging services, desk appraisals for certain engagements (i.e., no site visit required), and after-hours or weekend inventory/tagging services upon request.
